We gladly add our signatures to the petition long time owners of dachshunds we were recently able to purchase a pair of male piebalds. They are beautiful as were their black and tan brother and tan sister. We are absolutely in love with them. The only difference in them and the ones we've owned in the past is their coloring which we love.

I stumbled upon your website while searching the internet for piebald gifts for my sister. I can't believe that they would do away with such coloring. I have a piebald myself and he is 4 years old. His name is Ezra and we love him dearly. We also have two smooth red dachshunds. I LOVE piebalds and will be forever faithful........

I have a wonderful salt and pepper piebald, he is the sweetest little dog and he is absolutely beautiful. I rescued him from a shelter a year ago in November, with AKC papers and all, his registered name is Boots Ala-PieBald, however I changed his name to Rex, it means King. He now has a permanent home with me! Rex is defiantly a doxie all the way around, he loves to hunt, dig and chase little animals especially mice (good for me); I don’t think they should be judged just because of the color of his hair. I’ve had doxies for 20 years and I can honestly say, he has one of the sweetest temperaments I had.

Save the Piebalds, and save some for me!!!

I don't have a piebald, but Philly doesn't like his dachshund brothers and sisters to be discriminated against. That just isn't fair.

Save Em!!!

I just adopted a little piebald.
Her name is Eva and she is very dear to me.
I believe the piebald should be included in the standard as they
do appear as hunting dogs, and they have a history of hunting.
Thank you for listening

Piebalds are the best and are the most beautiful of the dachshunds...of course I am biased...lol! The chocolate dachshund is Oscar Meyer and carries the piebald gene as he has a white chest and 7 white toes :) The little girl is Clio and she is oscar's adopted sister...

I have three doxies. I searched a long time till I could find someone
in my area who sold piebalds. I love my little piebald. She is pure
bred doxie just has a different coat. She should be held to the same
standard as her sister and brother.

I just had a litter of pups . All are red except one female piebald I took this photo December 28. She weighed 6 ounces and was born at 12:45 AM December 27. She has already gained 2 ounces. She had her 1st checkup at the vet, and everyone had a comment about her unique beauty. Please save the piebalds. Her siblings are a creamy red. I feel blessed to have her in the litter.

I love my Charlie pup; he’s beautiful and while out on a walks people always stop and comment at how much they love his coloring!

It would be an injustice to the breed as to not include them in the standard!

I see no reason why the piebalds should be excluded from the standards. I am a small breeder and I love my piebalds!! A lot of times people in this area are not familiar with the piebald pattern, but when I send them a picture of the piebald babies, they FALL IN LOVE!! I will continue to breed them no matter what. In my opinion, there is nothing more beautiful than a whole litter of piebald babies!

Thanks for your website!

Hi! I, Anni Eimpalu and my black and tan Iori would like to give our vote to save piebalds! We are from Estonia & here we can't see many piebalds. But still we love them! I'm sure Iori would like to have piebald as an eyecandy! That naughty boy!
Hello! Save the piebalds!

Absolutely ridiculous! Piebald's are dachshund's too.
SAVE THE PIEBALD.

Attached photo's of my two dachshunds in South Africa.
There are no piebald's available at all in South Africa.
For this reason I will be visiting the US to find a breeder and buy two piebalds to take with me to South Africa.

I am the proud owner of a beautiful mini dachshund. She's a mix between a true black and tan and a true chocolate and tan. She's a very different color and accepted in the Dachshund community just like Piebalds should be! Every dachshund is unique and that's what makes them so special and so lovable.
SAVE THE PIEBALDS!!!

We think the Piebalds should be saved because they are a very beautiful part of the dachshund breed. Our female once gave birth to a piebald baby and that pup was the most desired pup in the litter. Our female is a brindle and our male is a dapple. There is piebald in our females background.
