I would like to sign the petition to save the piebalds. If piebalds will be no longer allowed. I will register my entire stock of AKC dogs and register them CKC. My piebalds are very dear to me. My personal piebald sleeps with me every night and will be my companion until the end. I love when I have a litter of piebalds, they are beautiful, with so much color to offer, it is a change from the other "basic" colors. I do not know what I would do without my "Daisey!" SAVE THE PIEBALDS! They are special and unique, if you haven't noticed.

Please save the piebald! They need to be included with the many other color and pattern variations that are recognized. As the owner of a red piebald, I am very partial to her. Notice she looks just like me, red hair & freckles.

It is my understanding that you are reviewing the status of registry for piebald dogs. As a professional barrel racer, I have noticed this dachshund breed to be one of the most popular at many rodeos and horse show throughout the country. It would be a shame to see their signature style and popularity diminished.

I did not know a lot about Dachshunds until my sister became a breeder several years ago. Wow, there are so many different sizes and colors!! Each one has a personality as different as the patterns on their back. I know my sister has put a lot of love and money into her PUPS. Please don’t discriminate against them because they are different. We are a nation of mixed up breeds.

Every breed should be considered eligible, that's just dogsist if not.

Please don't take out the fantastic piebald color. It is hard for me to believe that anyone can look at the piebald color and just see that, and not the delightful doxie under the coat!! Color does not equal breed confirmation or quality. Let's breed for the last two, and not focus on just color.

I think that the piebald is a beautiful pattern, and there is on reason to kick it out, they are Dachshunds to, it is just a pattern, nothing to do with there conformation or temperaments, so why do it???

THE PIEBALD DACHSHUND COULD BE THE PUREST OF THE DACHSHUND
BREED.
SINCE DACHSHUNDS ARE ORIGINATED FROM HOUNDS IT IS NOT A FAR
REACH TO ASSUME THAT NOT ALL HOUNDS WERE BLACK AND TAN AND, IN MY OPINION, IT IS FOOLISH TO ASSUME SO.
THE NATURAL BREED CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DACHSHUND ARE BEING UNREASONABLY SUPPRESSED BY THOSE WHO DO NOT CARE FOR THE PATTERN.
Please add my name to the total total and complete efforts supporting saving
the Piebald Dachshund as an officially recognized AKC breed.
Additionally, if AKC fails to support maintaining current acceptable
standards of the Piebald Dachshund, I will cease current and future support
of all AKC initiatives in total and will never register another dog of any
breed with AKC.

Piebalds should be "saved" for they are the clown-princes of the dachshund. Bunkie is one heck of a hoot to be with. He never stops goofing off, except when resting with his spouse. Woof!

My fried has a piebald, and they are very cute. I agree that the color should not affect their performance as hunters underground.

I want to save the piebald pattern! It's a lovely pattern and makes for a quite a striking dachshund! Disqualifying the a dog because of that pattern is a shame! It's just one of the wonderful varieties of Dachshunds!

I don't have a piebald dachshund however I have owned many horses that long ago were described as "piebald " or "skewbald" and have loved every one of them.
Robin Stegall and "Bling-Bling", "Shorty", and of course "Cheetah". Good luck.

I want to save the Piebalds
Look at these faces ! How are they not part of the breed ? Life would be boring without variety. Piebalds light up my life and they will always be a part of. I will continue to buy and breed so others may know the piebalds.
