Piebalds are lovely -- and, in conformation and temperament, are truly Dachshunds. The piebald has been a part of Dachshund history since the beginning -- it should continue to be part of the Dachshund family -- not excluded as some apparently want.

The pattern needs to stay in the AKC reg. I love all the different colors and patterns that they come in, please do not take the Piebald out!!!!

Save the Piebalds ! If the dog adheres to the same requirements as all registered dachshunds, why should they be eliminated because of color. You already have a large variety that is acceptable.

I own a LH mini piebald and I would like to see the color added to the standard. Many breeds used to hunt come in a piebald color (they're easier to see!) and they don't seem to have any problems in their breeds.

Good morning, my name is Angela and I have a miniature dapple named Daisy. No, I do not have a piebald but, I do believe in your cause. I think it is great that you stand-up for what is right. I hope by signing this I can help as well. Attached is a picture of our Daisy.

I love my pie!
How could such beautifully colored dachsies be excluded from the ring??
It makes me and my Beamer sad.

The only different between piebalds and any other color is their color! It is very unfair to not allow Pie's to compete. I think they are beautiful and should be included like all the others.

I AM FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO HAVE A BLACK AND TAN DAPPLE "MATTIE" AND ALSO A RED DILUTE "MEGAN". I DO NOT THINK THAT THE PIEBALD SHOULD BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BECAUSE OF THEIR COLORING AND MARKINGS. THANK YOU.

The first time my husband and I saw a Piebald we just had to have one. We have had brown and tan and black dachshunds in the past but absolutely love the Piebald. My daughter also owns a Piebald and they are both beautiful and intelligent dogs. It would be an absolute shame to have the Piebalds disappear and not give them justice in the show ring.
